I can see us going to watch the Füchse play at some point when we're in Berlin and support our local guys!
I have never watched a game of handball before although there is a strong team in Berlin (Die Füchse Berlin). We went to see the afternoon session oat the Copperbox in the Olympic Park on Saturday the 28th of July. We were able to see Croatia v Brazil and Denmark v Sweden. A little clip is shown below where Sweden score although they go on to loose 18-21. It is a great, action packed sport - end to end stuff! I can see us going to watch the Füchse play at some point when we're in Berlin and support our local guys!

I was lucky enough to have tickets for the Opening Ceremony for the London 2012 Olympics. I'll produce a post about it later with photos and a video link but I just wanted to comment on the fine city of London. I have to say I was so impressed and proud of the organisation on that first day. The army of volunteers that were at the stations were superb and the clear signs at the stations pointing to all things Olympic were impressive as well. They must have helped visitors not used to London. The security went so smoothly it was unreal. I felt proud and safe to have the military dealing with it efficiently rather than some dodgy private security firm. We felt awestruck and yet proud of the whole experience. I have uploaded a short video showing a few snippets of our trip to see the ceremony. It cannot do it justice but it does give some idea about the sound levels and crowd reactions that I didn't really see on the TV coverage. There was so much to take in and so much for the audience to do it defied belief. The programme of events was not handed out until the last moment to keep the secrets. The scale of the production was massive - I cannot quite believe the ambition in even attempting what amounts to a stage production on this scale.
