and a good crowd at the Olympiastadion. 52,135 fans were in the stadium to
support the boys in their quest for promotion into the Bundesliga next season.
Hertha had the bulk of the possession, in the first half they had 66% of it in fact but they just could not convert it into goals and went in at half time 0:0. The match was not a great display to be honest but finally in the 85th minute, after Ramos hit the post, Lasogga nicked it in to get that all important goal. The crowd, including me went totally bonkers! Lasogga ran up to the Ostkurve to celebrate and who can blame him!!! |
We stayed in the stadium for about an hour after it ended and saw the players being showered with beer in front if the Ostkurve. As Ronny ran away from a big jug of of beer down the running track - I thought I was back at the 2012 Olympics for a minute!
