The winter break feels as if its been so very long this year but we are nearly there now. Hertha start, after the winter break, away against bottom of the table Regensburg on Sunday.
Hopefully the training camp in Belek and the Turkish weather have left the guys fully prepared. Jos Luhukay appears confident although captain Peter Niemeyer will not be able to play after injuring his foot in training. He appeared to just "stub his toe" but it was clearly very painful. I am sure he was gutted.
Having said thus we still have some great players coming back into the fight in the Rückrunde not least of which being Lasogga.
The away match at Regensburg may be a good chance to blow away the cobwebs as they have only secured 13 points in the whole Hinrunde. But, if there is one thing I've learnt supporting the old lady it is - take NOTHING for granted! We have to fight for the three points as every one may be crucial in May.
With Union Berlin winning 3:1 on Friday evening it leaves just 12 points between the two Berlin clubs things are getting a little tighter at the top of the table. It will be an interesting weekend!
I have to work on Sunday which is a bit sad but I hope to catch most of the game in my extended lunchtime!
